Funding South Australian Collaborations

The Defence Innovation Partnership's Collaborative Research Fund provides up to $150,000 to support genuine collaboration across government, universities and industry, as a catalyst for defence-relevant research, development and innovation.

To date, the Collaborative Research Fund has supported 39 South Australian-based projects, providing more than $5.5 million in financial support from State and Commonwealth government, leveraging $10.8 million from industry, and university contributions.

Up to $150,000 is available per project.

We generally run one round of Collaborative Research Funding per year.

No. However, if the outcome of R&D activity has the potential to be classified, or if classified inputs or discussions are needed to complete the work, then all team members undertaking the CRF activity should be capable of obtaining a Baseline security clearance. Australian citizenship is a condition of eligibility for a security clearance.
